Up for sale is a rare and large original Atlas/Map of Part of Harlem, New York with both the Polo Grounds and Hilltop Park, first home of the New York Yankees. The Polo Grounds was located at 155th to 158th Street on Eighth Avenue and Hilltop Park was located at 168th Street and Columbus Avenue, now the home of Columbian-Presbyterian Hospital. This insurance map covers from 158th Street to 170th Street and from the East River to the Hudson River. This Insurance Map is a larger size than the normal as it measures 22 x 32. It is on linen and in Ex+ condition.
Each building is and each color represents the type of structure. Yellow is wood, brown is stone, pink is brick. The Xs through the buildings indicate it is a barn or stable. The brown streets indicate cobblestone while green indicates macadamized pavement and white means it is unpaved. And the light green lines on the map show who the first recorded and original landowners were as well as the original streets.
